Musician Profile: Kip Holdren

The 2019 Montana Christian Festival “Witness of God’s Creation” Event brought us many blessings. Rev. Kip Holdren was one of them. Kip taught on “The Witness of the Animal Kingdom” and then surprised us during the event by joining our musical team on stage. Kip was ordained to the Christian ministry in 1979 and served in various capacities in the states of North Carolina, Oklahoma, Colorado, Montana, and Kansas. After leaving his full-time ministry responsibilities in 1998, he began his second career as a financial advisor. In 2017 he sold his practice and retired to the Western Slope of Colorado where he lives with his wife, Barbara, their dog and their horses. He is a self-taught musician– learning from watching his great uncle, with whom he spent many summers on the ranch as a youth. He plays mostly for personal enjoyment and loves the opportunity to get together with others for fun. He likes to play a variety of Christian, Gospel, Folk, Country and Cowboy music, loving to sing about the songs that relate to the life he has lived. We are delighted to welcome Kip back as a participant of our music program for the 2021 Montana Christian Festival.
